At The University Church we strive for communal worship that is relevant, vibrant and alive. We gather at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings in the Driscoll Alumni Center at The University of Toledo. The Driscoll Alumni Center is located at 2801 West Bancroft Street at the northwest corner of Bancroft Street and University Hills Boulevard. There is parking available immediately adjacent to the building (no parking permits are required in university parking lots on Sundays). The building is accessible for those who are differently-abled. Childcare is available. Please join us. MAP  Our celebration of communion together is important to us and we include the Lord's Supper in our worship whenever we gather.
Our altar and communion table design is undertaken carefully to reflect the nature of our worship celebration on each given day.
We use ancient and contemporary images to illustrate and enhance our worship experiences.
We try hard to make those worshiping with us for the first time feel comfortable. We never pass an offering plate around the room as we think that this makes guests feel unduly pressured. Instead, we place a basket by the door and those who choose to support the ministries of the church can do so quietly and at their own initiative. Our music arises from our life as a community and our musical tastes are correspondingly eclectic. We have been known to blend ancient and modern, classical and contemporary, as well as local and global musical styles in our worship. We have a Community Chorus that gathers to sing and at which everyone is welcome, as well as opportunities for auditioned participation. Instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome to come and be part of what we do in worship.
